These kittens often arrive at the shelter with a range of medical needs, from upper respiratory infections and eye issues to more complex conditions requiring round-the-clock monitoring and medication. Without immediate foster care, these young animals face a heightened risk of complications and even mortality.

"Medical foster care provides a lifeline for these fragile kittens," explains Dr. Sarah McMillan, lead veterinarian at the Humane Society.
